Craftsman Village Park

851 Orange Avenue
(562) 570-3100
(.34 acres)

History

The City of Long Beach received a $722,465 grant from the Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program on November 8, 2010 to develop the .34-acre Craftsman Village Park at 851 Orange Avenue in the Craftsman Village/Hellman neighborhood.

The land was purchased by the former Long Beach Redevelopment Agency (RDA) who identified the site as a good location for a park as the area lacks open space and park land.

The plans for the park and the grant award are the result of the involvement of many members of the community, including the Craftsman Village Neighborhood Association.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 to start the construction of Craftsman Village Park.
