Emergency Tree Trimming Notice

EMERGENCY TREE TRIMMING AND/OR REMOVAL NOTICE

The Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine Department has a policy of preserving healthy trees on public property whenever possible. However, the ongoing drought and cases of beetle infestation have significantly stressed many of our aging trees. In the coming weeks, selected trees at El Dorado Regional Park will be undergoing emergency trimming and/or removal in an effort to avoid further limb breakage and tree falls. Staff have consulted with a certified biologist to ensure that there isn't any nesting activity in the vicinity of the trees. The safety and well being of our patrons continues to be our priority.
