New Beach Tech Cleaners Help keep our Shoreline Beautiful!

The BeachTech 2000 employs patented cleaning technology using fine screens that rake the sand allowing it to pick up micro plastics and other small items too fine for previous equipment to manage. It also employs an innovative conveyor belt system that sifts debris from the sand during collection, allowing clean sand to be dumped back on the beach as it passes through a conveyor belt leaving beaches cleaner than ever before.

This technology can remove small size pieces of litter such as bottle caps, plastic bottles, and cigarette butts that cannot be detected by the naked eye as well as larger items such as seaweed, flotsam and jetsam. The Beach Maintenance crew is excited to use this new equipment for its greater efficiency and cleaner beaches with its technology. Beach Maintenance crew, Ryan Coppenger, called it “a game changer in keeping our beaches clean.” Previous beach cleaners had to be driven back to the yard to be emptied each time the cleaner hopper was full. The BeachTech can offload it’s contents up to 6 times to the BeachTech 5500 beach cleaner, eliminating the need for frequent return trips, saving both time and fuel. The BeachTech 2000 also features a Finisher, which leaves a smooth, groove pattern on the sand after grooming.
