Long Beach Youth Fund
The Long Beach Youth Fund (LBYF) was created to provide funding for local youth to develop a project that addresses community issues and challenges. The individual grants can range from $250 to $1,000. In order to obtain the grants, projects must be planned out and led by youth.
The Commission on Youth and Children (CYC) currently oversees the LBYF. Youth commissioners and selected adult commissioners will review all projects that are submitted and will decide which projects will receive funding. Youth, whose projects are awarded funding, will be invited to attend the CYC's monthly meeting.
