Welcome to Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine

Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine serves the community with recreation programs and services that are offered at 166 parks with 26 community centers, two historic sites, two major tennis centers, one of the busiest municipal golf systems in the country with five courses, the Long Beach Animal Care Services Bureau, the largest municipally operated marina system in the nation and six miles of beaches.

Municipal Band

Parks, Recreation and Marine is proud to announce the 117th season of the Long Beach Municipal Band summer concert series. This year’s performance theme, Picnics and Pops, is an ode to Long Beach’s iconic history, culture and community through popular hits across the decades. Concerts will take place at five Long Beach parks beginning Tuesday, June 23, through Friday, July 31. Each performance week will showcase a different theme, offering spectators a variety of musical entertainment all summer long. 

Summer Concert
Parks, Recreation and Marine of free, family-friendly entertainment and recreational programming options for youth, teens and adults. Offering accessible recreation during the summer months strengthens community connections, promotes community wellbeing and offers youth safe, constructive activities to engage in. PRM’s summer events and programs begin June 15 and run through Aug. 21, 2026.
Washington Neighborhood Social Ad

Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine along with project consultant NAC will host a virtual community meeting on Tuesday, June 23, at 6 p.m. During the virtual meeting, staff will provide an overview of the project and findings from the feasibility study on the proposed locations. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in group discussions, ask questions and share their feedback.
