City of Long Beach Ranks First Nationwide as a 2024 Top Digital City 11/19/2024 The City of Long Beach has been recognized as the first-place Top Digital City for its population size in the Center for Digital Government’s (CDG) 2024 Digital Cities Survey. The survey is conducted annually and evaluates how cities nationwide use technology to advance city goals, operations and services to the community.

Introducing Ask Elby!, our new AI-powered chatbot on the City website! 11/7/2024 We are thrilled to announce the launch of our AI-powered virtual assistant, "Ask Elby!" This beta version of the chatbot will be available on the City of Long Beach website for 30 days, from November 7 to December 6. Our goal with "Ask Elby!" is to enhance the user experience by providing quick and easy access to information and resources directly from the website.

October is Cyber Security Awareness Month! 10/3/2024 Every year in October, the Technology & Innovation Department (TID) participates in Cyber Security Awareness Month. Since 2004, October has been celebrated as Cyber Security Awareness Month—a collaborative effort between the government and the technology industry to raise awareness about cyber security.

TI Department Designs and Codes New Website 6/1/2015 TI staff designed and coded the new responsive www.longbeach.gov.  The CMS allows content to be displayed properly on both mobile devices and desktop computers.

More Video Cameras Added to LBCOP 8/1/2014 This summer more than 60 cameras in the downtown and convention center areas were added to LBCOP, Long Beach's video monitoring network. LBCOP will have access to nearly 750 cameras city-wide.
