Request a Certificate, Proclamation, or Congratulatory Letter from the Mayor

Please be advised that, while we will do our best to honor the desired delivery date, we cannot guarantee every request.

A note on City Council Meetings: An organization or event does not have exclusive rights to the day, week, or month of their proclamation. Presentations at Council meetings are limited to 5 minutes each and there will generally be no more than 2 presentations during a Council meeting.

The Mayor's Office reserves the right to modify or deny any proclamation request. Your request will go through an internal review process, so it is necessary to submit your request in a timely manner. The Mayor will not recognize any group whose policies or aims advocate violence or hatred or portray the City of Long Beach in a negative light.  Proclamations will not be issued for any matter that may suggest an official City position on a matter under consideration or to be voted upon by the City Council. Messages, proclamations, and certificates are not indicative of the Mayor's support of any individual, issue, project, event or endorsement.
