Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month heritage with the Long Beach Public Library!
Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of Americans whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
During September and October, join us on Facebook
Live or Zoom for virtual programs that reflect the stories, art, food, language, and diversity of Latin Americans and Latinos. This year, Vida Latina will be virtual and will include crafts for the entire family. Featuring an array of topics, programs include Latino folk art, food demonstrations featuring cookbooks from the library’s collection, bilingual storytime for toddlers and preschoolers, a storytelling workshop for teens and retellings of popular myths and legends from Latin America.
All Vida Latina programs and workshops will be streamed on Facebook
Live, and will be published afterward on the library's YouTube
