Beginning Monday, August 28, 2023, the Alamitos, Harte, and Michelle Obama Neighborhood Libraries will offer an additional day of service on Mondays.


As of Monday, August 14, the Bay Shore Neighborhood Library will temporarily close for a scheduled renovation. All services at Bay Shore, including book drops, will be unavailable.

Celebrate Lunar New Year at LBPL

2023 is the Year of the Rabbit and we're ringing in this Lunar New Year with crafts, storytimes, and fun for all-ages at the following LBPL events:

Red Envelope Craft with Guest Artist, Stacy Wong
Join us in the Studio at BJK Main to make special red envelopes with macrame, featuring our guest artist, Stacy Wong. All supplies provided and all skill levels welcome. Pre-registration through the library's website calendar is recommended as capacity is limited. Ages 13+ .
