In observance of Memorial Day, all LBPL locations and services (including phone lines) will be closed Sat., May 24 through Mon., May 26.

Burnett Library will undergo an energy efficiency upgrade and temporarily close from April 21–May 26, and reopen on May 27.

GetSetUp for the Holidays

The Long Beach Public Library has partnered with GetSetUp to offer free virtual classes for older adults!

GetSetUp is the largest online community for older adults to learn new things, make new friends, and have fun! With hundreds of live classes, we invite you to master a new skill, explore a hobby, and safely connect with a community of over 4 million peers around the world.

The live classes are hosted on GetSetUp’s safe video-learning platform, which offers live phone or chat support to assist learners during or outside of classes.

Topics range from technology to health and wellness to crafts and more! Thanks to a global GetSetUp community, classes are available all year, nearly 24/7 and in various languages including Spanish, Mandarin, and Hindi.
