The bookdrop at Burnett Library is currently out of order—swing by Dana, Harte, Twain, or any of our other locations to return library materials after hours. 


Face coverings must be worn by all patrons, except children under the age of 2, when in library buildings. This requirement is in accordance with the most recent Health Order from the Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services.

New York Historical Society’s traveling exhibition, Billie Jean King: Champion. Activist. Legend., which showcases more than 80 photographs from the life and career of Billie Jean King, opens Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at the Billie Jean King Main Library. Both a sports icon and lifelong advocate for equality and social justice, Billie Jean King is an inspiration both on and off the tennis court and visitors will marvel at her achievements and activism on display. The exhibition opening marks the two-year anniversary of the grand opening of the Billie Jean King Main Library, a 94,500 square foot state-of-the-art public library serving the residents and visitors of Long Beach.
