The bookdrop at Burnett Library is currently out of order—swing by Dana, Harte, Twain, or any of our other locations to return library materials after hours. 


Face coverings must be worn by all patrons, except children under the age of 2, when in library buildings. This requirement is in accordance with the most recent Health Order from the Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services.

In an effort to make as many of our digital resources available to patrons during this time, the library is happy to announce that until September 30th all Long Beach Public Library Card holders, including those with a temporary library card, will have access to Ancestry Library Edition from home.

Ancestry Library Edition is a great place to start researching your family history. With it you can unlock the story of you with sources like censuses, vital records, immigration records, family histories, military records, court and legal documents, directories, photos, maps, and more.
