SEED Creativity Lab
6th – 8th graders! Join the Long Beach Public Library for a series of workshops that will challenge your creativity, sharpen your problem-solving skills, and connect you with a passionate community of makers, learners, and educators.
The Creativity Lab’s learning experiences allow students to develop a personal creative process. Students will explore different visual and performance art mediums like theater, dance, photography, architecture, creative writing, and digital media. Throughout the sessions students will have the opportunity to create and design for themselves, their friends and folks from the community. Our session culminates with a showcase for students to present their art and process to family and friends.
Our team of educators is made up of passionate community members excited to teach and eager to learn and grow.
Pre-Service Teachers from CSULB will guide students through the entire 10-week experience, teaching foundational twenty-first century skills and design thinking concepts.
Our guest Artist Educators are working artists who bring a range of skills and expertise to the workshops, focusing on the art medium central to each session.
