Volunteer Opportunities
Thank you for considering volunteering with the Long Beach Public Library. Our volunteers help to meet the information needs of Long Beach's diverse and dynamic population.
The Library recruits adult and teen volunteers to assist staff with projects and to provide customer service support.
- Teen Volunteers (Ages 13–17): Assist staff with organizing materials and supporting library programs.
- Adult Volunteers (18 and older): Support library programs, special events, and outreach services.
- Adult Literacy Tutors: Help adult learners improve their reading and writing skills through one-on-one tutoring.
