Join us for an engaging afternoon with local author, Steven Deeble, who will lead a live Zoom workshop on "Writing the Short Story" that will be sure to get your creative juices flowing!

Join us for an engaging afternoon with local author, Steven Deeble, who will lead a live Zoom workshop on "Writing the Short Story" that will be sure to get your creative juices flowing! This program will provide an overview of what constitutes a "short story" today, including flash fiction. Workshop attendees will then draft very short pieces (i.e. a sentence or a paragraph) in "Part I: Writing the Short Story," and then revise their work in "Part II: Rewriting." Finally, in "Part III: Marketing Your Story," writers will receive helpful tips for marketing stories to publishers and agents. For more information, contact Miller Room staff at (562) 570-6729.
