The Miller Special Collections Room at the Billie Jean King Main Library is pleased to announce our next online Local History Lecture Series event, entitled "African Americans in Long Beach and Southern California: A History," presented by local author-historian and retired LBPL librarian, Claudine Burnett. Please join us for a fascinating exploration of the history, culture, and contributions of our African American community to the growth and development of Long Beach and Southern California, based on extensive research culled from Ms. Burnett's newest book.
This free program will take place online via Zoom and registration is required to attend.
