Long Beach author and filmmaker Steven Deeble will talk about the backstory of James Ellroy’s novel, L.A. Confidential, part of his “Los Angeles Quartet”. He will also discuss how screenwriters Brian Helgeland and Curtis Hanson turned the novel into their Academy Award-winning screenplay.

Deeble is the author of ‘Persistence of Vision’, an historical detective thriller set in Southern California in 1929. He has also produced award-winning films.
