Long Beach Airport
Long Beach, CA – Long Beach Airport (LGB) now offers new daily nonstop service to and from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) and Portland International Airport (PDX), giving travelers more options to conveniently connect along the West Coast. The new Southwest Airlines routes also further strengthen LGB’s growing network, which currently offers services to 21 nonstop destinations and nearly 400 one-stop connections around the world.
"We're excited to welcome these new Southwest flights to Seattle and Portland, offering travelers even more reasons to choose Long Beach as their airport of choice,” said Mayor Rex Richardson. “By strengthening our already growing network of routes, we are further positioning ourselves to welcome the world in 2028.”
Southwest's new daily service schedule to and from the Pacific Northwest is currently as follows, with tickets available now at lgb.org:
LGB to SEA – Departs at 11:25 a.m. and arrives at 2:05 p.m.
SEA to LGB – Departs at noon and arrives at 2:55 p.m.
LGB to PDX – Departs at 1 p.m. and arrives at 3:20 p.m.
PDX to LGB – Departs at noon and arrives at 2:25 p.m.
To mark the first day of service, passengers on the outbound and inbound flights enjoyed surprise gate celebrations, including live music as part of LGB’s ongoing LGB Live! series, free coffee from Boathouse on the Bay and 4th Street Vine restaurants, and giveaways of commemorative stickers and Airport-themed items. Aquarium of the Pacific also donated free aquarium tickets to welcome inbound passengers to Long Beach.
"We're excited to see even more opportunities for travelers to fly between Long Beach and the Pacific Northwest," said Airport Director Cynthia Guidry. "These new nonstop flights to Seattle and Portland provide residents and visitors with more ways to explore the West Coast, while enjoying the easy, welcoming experience that has made LGB a favorite among travelers."
The Pacific Northwest becomes even more accessible this fall when Alaska Airlines adds twice-daily nonstop service to Seattle beginning Sept. 8, 2026. Together, Southwest's expanded service and Alaska's return to servicing the area will provide travelers with additional flexibility and convenient travel options.
Officially trademarked as america's coolest airport™, Long Beach Airport offers a distinctively stress-free travel experience and exceptional customer service, conveniently located between Los Angeles and Orange counties. LGB currently offers nonstop service on Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, Delta Air Lines and Southwest Airlines. Learn more at lgb.org.
