LGB Exhibits Work of Local Artist

Bob Senske LGB4

Long Beach, CA – Long Beach Airport (LGB) is exhibiting the work of celebrated local artist, Robert Senske, Jr. Senske has been publishing his original acrylic paintings of the Long Beach waterfront for over 35 years.

A fourth generation native of Long Beach and self-taught artist whose work has been honored by the American Society of Marine Artists, Senske is renowned for his detailed land and seascapes.  Former Mayor Beverly O’Neill and Former Governor of California George Deukmejian were early fans and collectors that helped proliferate his work throughout the city in the early 2000’s.

Senske’s mural-sized reproductions are printed on canvas and tension fabric and are on display throughout the airport at 21 different locations, including the baggage claim.

Known for its ease and convenience, LGB boasts one of the few outdoor concourses in the entire country, offering travelers the opportunity to enjoy the fresh air while they wait for their flight.  Visitors to the airport will now be surrounded by beautiful hand painted scenes of Long Beach to enjoy as they anticipate returning home or visiting the city.
