10 Flight Slots Allocated at LGB
Release Date: 2020-04-24
Long Beach Airport (LGB) has announced that Southwest Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines and Delta Air Lines have been offered seven permanent air carrier flight slots and three supplemental flight slots.
The permanent flight slots were relinquished by JetBlue earlier this year in January, and the three supplemental slots were added after review of the annual noise budget analysis. Based on the order of the waiting list and the submitted requests from the air carriers, Southwest Airlines was awarded three flight slots, Hawaiian Airlines was awarded one flight slot and Delta Air Lines was awarded three flight slots.
That three of the airlines currently serving Long Beach Airport requested all of the available flight slots and continue to show interest in LGB during the COVID-19 travel impacts is hopeful sign for the eventual return of normal levels of air service and economic activity for the region.
