On May 2, 2017, Long Beach Airport (LGB) retained InterVISTAS Consulting, Inc., to conduct a ground transportation study and provide recommendations for modifying ground transportation fees at LGB. The study included a detailed review of the airport's ground transportation program, analyzing industry best practices that are most appropriate for the LGB's business model, and providing recommendations for changes that develop and maintain a robust program.
A ground transportation stakeholders meeting is scheduled at Long Beach Airport on August 21, 2017, to inform the stakeholder groups and receive input about proposed changes to LGB's ground transportation program.
The meeting invitation and ground transportation study are attached below and contain a thorough overview of the program, including overall management, technology solutions to monitoring activity, and the recommended fees for each type of operator.
