Scheduled Maintenance to Primary Air Carrier Runway

Long Beach Airport will begin scheduled maintenance to Runway 30, the Airport's primary air carrier runway.

It will be temporarily closed for required FAA maintenance from 10:00 p.m. to 6:45 a.m. on the following days:

  • Monday, August 29, 2016, through Friday, September 2, 2016
  • Monday, September 12, 2016, through Saturday, September 17, 2016
  • Monday, September 19, 2016 through Saturday, September 24, 2016

There are no commercial flights scheduled during these hours; however, Runway 25R, the Airport's secondary air carrier runway, will be used as necessary.

Communities that do not routinely experience aircraft overflights may see aircraft in their area during these times.
