Learn to Compost - Join us at our demonstration garden to learn how to turn your food scraps and yard trimmings into a valuable soil amendment for your garden, landscape or potted plants. We'llshow you how to set up and maintain a backyard compost bin and a vermicompost (worm) bin, and how to effectively use finished compost at home. You will also learn how to use your organics (green) cart and see what materials can or cannot be placed in your compost bin vs organics (green) cart.

Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Green & Safe Cleaning - Join us for a hands-on workshop where you’ll make an all-purpose cleaner to take home. We’ll also share tips for creating other household cleaning supplies that are a safer choice.

Let's Get Sorting: Recycling, Organics and Trash - You have questions - we have answers! Join us to learn about the City's recycling, organics and trash collection programs. We'll teach you how recycling works, what you can and can't put in your carts, and how to prepare your recycling, organics and trash for collection. Stick around for a fun sorting game and giveaways!

Celebrate More, Waste Less - Keep the memories, avoid the waste! Join us for this hands-on workshop and learn strategies to reduce waste during the holiday season, from low-waste Halloween costumes to reducing food waste and giving gifts sustainably.
