Bring Your Own (BYO) Month

Celebrating the Third Annual BYO Month
Every October, the City of Long Beach and the LB Reuses coalition invite you to take part in Bring Your Own (BYO) Month, a citywide celebration of intentional and sustainable actions that make a big impact. Throughout the month, community members and local businesses are encouraged to reduce waste by bringing reusable cups, containers, and bags to participating locations, with a shared goal of eliminating single-use items.
BYO Month is led by the Long Beach Reuses Coalition (LB Reuses), co-founded by the City’s Environmental Services Bureau (ESB) made up of a collaborative of local businesses and community groups, including: Algalita, BYO Long Beach, Ethikli, Green Wisdom, Long Beach Community Compost, TipToe Sustainability, and Upstream Solutions. Together, we’re working to empower residents and businesses to choose reuse and build a more sustainable Long Beach.
