Important Notice: Recycling Carts

The City is exchanging all recycling carts to blue, as required by the State of California’s Short-Lived Climate Pollutant Reduction Strategy (SB 1383). Beginning January 19, 2026 , requests for a different size recycling cart or additional carts will be postponed until July 2026 to ensure an efficient Citywide cart exchange. Pending requests will begin processing in July in the order received.

Requests to replace damaged or stolen carts will still be completed by the following service day as they are now. There is no cost difference between recycling cart sizes. Learn more about Recycling Collection.
