2026 Shred Events

Secure document disposal at no cost!
The Department of Energy and Environmental Services invites Long Beach residents to participate in upcoming shred events offering no-cost, secure disposal of sensitive documents. Shredded paper is not recyclable in curbside recycling carts. Take advantage of this opportunity to securely shred documents and ensure the paper is recycled right.
During each event, two mobile shredding trucks will be on-site until 10 a.m. or until the trucks reach capacity.

Veterans Memorial Stadium
4901 E. Conant St. (enter on Conant St.)
Saturday, March 7, 2026
Saturday, June 13, 2026
Saturday, September 12, 2026
8 a.m. - 10 a.m. (or until the mobile shredding trucks on site reach capacity)
Accepted:
- Confidential documents, white or color paper
- Manila file folders, staples and paperclips
- Envelopes and cardboard
There is a limit of three boxes per vehicle and the box size cannot exceed 10” x 12” x 15” dimensions.
Not Accepted:
- CDs, hard drives and cell phones
- Three-ring binders, credit cards
- Hanging file folders, metal objects, plastics, glass, plastic bags, food, batteries, weapons
