E-Learning Resources for K-8 StudentsRelease Date: 2022-02-01
The Energy Resources Department, Long Beach Water Department, and the Department of Public Works’ Environmental Services Bureau have partnered with The National Theatre for Children (NTC) to educate and inspire Long Beach and Signal Hill students and their families about the environment. This year, the program has been adapted into an all-digital alternative to safely bring the environmental curriculum to students amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Conservation Caper and LBC E-Team digital programs, which can be accessed remotely by teachers, students, and their parents, are an effective way to deliver novel curriculum and foster student engagement during this time of distance learning. Both digital programs provide vital information on water conservation, natural gas safety and conservation, and waste reduction.
