The Long Beach Development Services Department announces the availability of $4 million in Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) funds to be awarded to qualified local nonprofit organizations/community-based development organizations (CBDOs). Funding under this Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) is for the support of the development of new affordable rental units in the City of Long Beach to provide housing for low-and moderate-income persons. The funding will be provided for the acquisition of land for the future development of rental affordable housing. Proposed projects must contain a minimum of 40 units. Multiple acquisitions may be awarded funds, for a total of $4 million. The deadline for submitting proposals is Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022, at 4 p.m.
