Permit Center web
This change of service will help the Permit Center — currently open for in-person appointments only — return to the high-level of personalized customer care that was in place prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, is as follows:

As part of all appointments, customers will be asked to provide their project applications and materials as hardcopy or, for convenience, submit them on USB flash drives (memory sticks).

All other services are also available, which are previewed below and can be found in detail on the Permit Center page.

  • Online Express Permits: Only for single-family and duplex structures for re-roofing, water heater changeouts and electrical service panel changeouts.
  • In-Person Express Permits: For minor projects that do not need plan review, including window changeouts, HVAC addition and relocations, and alteration, repair, and replacement of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
  • Over-the-Counter (OTC) Permits: For select projects requiring in-person plan reviews, which include one-story residential additions, accessory dwelling units (ADUs), and relocation of 50 or less fire sprinkler heads.
  • Status Check: To learn about existing plan checks, including the status of your permit in the queue, visit: Plan Review and Permit Status
