Beginning on January 1, 2017, Long Beach Development Services (LBDS) is required by State law to enforce the 2016 Edition of California Building Standards Codes (a.k.a., Title 24 of the California Codes of Regulations). The City of Long Beach will be conducting a public hearing to adopt and amend the 2016 Edition of the California Building Standards Code, in accordance with State law, and the 1997 Edition of the Uniform Housing Code during the Long Beach City Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday, November 15, 2016, at 5 pm.
