Kevin McGuan
Kevin McGuan, Chair

Kevin P. McGuan is a retired vice president from Merrill Lynch with a 30-year career in finance. He currently works as an independent private fiduciary and registered investment advisor for Charles Schwab Inc. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and a Bachelor of Science in computer science from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas.

A dedicated community leader, Kevin has served on numerous nonprofit boards, including the Long Beach Community Foundation, Long Beach Memorial Medical Center Foundation and Long Beach Estate Planning & Trust Council. In 2020, he and his wife, Ana Maria, were honored as Preservationists of the Year by the Long Beach Heritage Association. A resident of the historic Villa Riviera for more than 35 years, Kevin enjoys biking, trekking, tennis, golf and gardening. 

Mark Grisafe
Mark Grisafe, Vice Chair

Mark Grisafe is the owner and lead architect at Grisafe Architecture. He received his bachelor’s degree in architecture from California Polytechnic State University, Pomona.

After working for several architecture firms, including one that sent him overseas to work with Euro Disney (now Disneyland Paris). He started Grisafe Architecture as a residential design firm in 2002. In 2009, he expanded the company’s services to include commercial design.

Mark is known throughout Long Beach as a talented architect who creates spaces that are not only beautiful but also highly functional. He takes the time to understand his clients’ needs and dedicates himself to achieving their desired outcomes. Mark was also one of only two Long Beach architects commissioned by the City of Long Beach’s Community Development Department to help improve and test its online plan submission system.

He is the recipient of the Chai Volunteer Award and the Tess WohlstatterHinini “Here I Am” Award from the Alpert Jewish Community Center of Long Beach for his volunteer work as an advisor and project architect for the center’s construction projects. Mark has also contributed to other local efforts, including the Reflection Garden at St. Cornelius Church.

In recent years, he worked as an adjunct professor at Mount San Antonio College, teaching interior design. He has been featured on television and in publications including Destination LA, Realtor.com, Businessing Magazine, Superb Crew, Compendent.com and others, sharing his expertise in architecture, interior design and business development.

Beyond his professional achievements, Mark values helping shape the community in positive ways and works hard to build strong relationships with his team, partners, clients and local organizations. 

Tasha Hunter
Tasha Hunter, Commissioner

Tasha W. Hunter is a seasoned community engagement professional with a diverse background in fostering inclusive environments. She currently works with international high-profile clients to implement creative strategies for change. Formerly, she held key roles such as executive director of the Uptown Business Improvement District, business navigator for the Downtown Long Beach Business Alliance and business advisor for the Small Business Development Center. Tasha is also the co-founder of Wiggins Hunter Consulting Group, which specializes in cultural consulting, public speaking and creative business strategies with a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).

With extensive experience in facilitating dialogue and collaboration, Tasha has led business, arts and cultural initiatives in partnership with colleges, dignitaries, elected officials, museums, institutions, philanthropists, nonprofits and international communities. She is especially interested in economic development and intersectionality within the creative economy.

As a lead consultant, Tasha played a pivotal role in the visioning process for the African American Cultural Center and the Cambodian American Cultural Center of Long Beach. She also co-chaired the visioning and rezoning plan for North Long Beach, which has influenced citywide planning efforts.

Tasha’s dedication to service is reflected in her board memberships and appointments, including the Long Beach Navy Heritage Commission. She has also served with the Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Knight Foundation, and spent nine years on the Arts Council for Long Beach, including three terms as president. In February 2024, U.S. Rep. Nanette Barragán honored Tasha with the Community Activist Award for her contributions to society.

She holds a certificate in diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility from Cornell University, a Master of Fine Arts from Chapman University and degrees from University of California, Los Angeles and Long Beach City College.

Marco Pizzo
Marco Pizzo, Commissioner

Marco Pizzo is a graduate with honors in environmental design from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. He has produced notable commercial and residential projects with historic sensibilities for more than 35 years. Recognized by the California Council for Interior Design Certification, Marco is a licensed certified interior designer (CID) and owns a vibrant interior design studio in Long Beach, established in 2003.

Marco has lived in Long Beach for more than 25 years in one of the City’s historically designated districts. He has served on the board of the Bluff Park Neighborhood Association for over eight years and currently serves as president. He is a co-lead on the Bluff Park Historic Lamppost Project, now entering its fourth phase. In 2015, Marco and a resident group he led received a Long Beach Heritage Preservation Award for the Paloma Centennial Celebration, which honored multiple homes reaching 100 years old. 

Amy Bodek
Amy Bodek, Commissioner

Amy J. Bodek, AICP, is the director of regional planning for Los Angeles County. She oversees all planning and development activities for unincorporated areas of the county, serving more than 1 million residents and covering roughly two-thirds of the county’s land area. Amy joined the county after a 24-year career with the City of Long Beach, where she most recently served as director of the Community Development Department (formerly Development Services).

Her background includes urban planning, redevelopment and affordable housing. Amy holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental design from Cornell University, a master’s in urban planning from New York University and a certificate in landscape architecture from University of California, Los Angeles. She is a certified planner with the American Institute of Certified Planners and a member of the Urban Land Institute.

Amy serves on the board of directors for the Rancho Los Alamitos Foundation in Long Beach and is a member of the President’s Council of Cornell Women. She lives in Long Beach with her husband, two children and their rescue German shepherd. 

Jocelynn Pryor
Jocelyn Pryor, Commissioner

Jocelynn Pryor has worked with thousands of artists and labels, coaching, consulting, mentoring and guiding strategies to monetize physical music formats. Her distribution achievements include launching projects by Arlo Parks, Ateez, Five Finger Death Punch, Hardy, Herb Alpert, Larry June, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Marilyn Manson, MF DOOM, Anderson .Paak, Shaboozey, Snoop Dogg and many others.

She began her career in 1991 at a Sam Goody store in Downey, California, then worked in retail at Borders Books & Music, Wherehouse Music and Transworld (f.y.e.) before moving into wholesale at Super D. Today, Jocelynn is vice president of marketing at AMPED Distribution, the independent distribution arm of Alliance Entertainment (Nasdaq: AENT), the fastest-growing indie distributor offering global physical and digital solutions. A retail marketing expert, Jocelynn is known for creating effective go-to-market plans. As an arts advocate, she served nine years on the Arts Council for Long Beach and chaired its fundraising committee.

Jocelynn is a proud member of A2IM, Music Biz, RIAA and Women in Vinyl. She frequently speaks at music conferences, including A2IM, Billboard Pro Series, Music Biz and Making Vinyl, and advocates for the arts at state and local levels. She is part of the 2021–2025 Recording Academy/Grammys class and was named an Indie Power Player by Billboard Magazine in 2024. For Jocelynn, music must always reach its audience, and she continues to be a vital connector between fans and the culture. 

Jacqueline Padilla Perez
Jacqueline Padilla-Perez, Commissioner

Jacqueline Padilla-Perez is a design professional with nearly 20 years of experience in the architecture and design industry. A Secretary of the Interior–qualified architectural historian, she has focused in recent years on historic preservation and the protection of culturally significant spaces.

Jacqueline earned a bachelor’s degree in interior architecture and a master’s in historic preservation. She is the creative director of Historia Preservation Studio, a micro-media firm that produces nonprofit content to educate the public about overlooked historic sites and cultural narratives.

Dedicated to uplifting underrepresented communities, Jacqueline uses education, activism and outreach to amplify marginalized voices. She is a member of the Long Beach Rotary Club, president of the St. Cornelius chapter of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and formerly served five years on the Long Beach Heritage board of directors. She is especially proud to have led Long Beach Heritage’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion program, where she continues to serve as chair.
