The Green Terminal Island (TI) Final Plan is now available!

On Oct. 24, 2015, the City held a celebratory fourth community workshop event, marking the completion of the Green Terminal Island (TI) Freeway Transition Plan. Residents had the opportunity to view preliminary designs to transform the TI Freeway into an eco-friendly corridor with an associated greenbelt that better serves the community. This free event featured interactive booths, demonstrations, and refreshments. See links below for more information.

About the Project

The City is developing a Plan for transforming the Terminal Island (TI) Freeway into a local serving road with an associated greenbelt. Your input will be used to help inform plans to decommission the TI Freeway, while increasing open space and buffering this community from air, noise, light and visual pollution. Made possible by CalTrans grant, the Green TI Plan will define the community's vision for replacing an underutilized freeway. The goal is to mitigate pollution impacts and further address long-standing community health concerns.
