The City is looking to spur economic vitality in areas of Long Beach where vacant storefronts and underused commercial spaces have led to neighborhood blight and adverse community impacts.
The City has determined there is a great need to ease parking space requirements for businesses looking to locate in existing tenant spaces. To address this need, the City is exploring a new Zoning Code Update that will help shape the regulation of on-site parking requirements for changes of use in existing buildings.
