Long Beach GUIDES (Government User Integrated Diversion Enhancement System), led by City Prosecutor Doug Haubert, which will equip first responders with needed information to quickly identify what services are most appropriate for residents in need.
The GUIDES project is an innovative, technology-based strategy for connecting and reconnecting persons suffering from homelessness, mental illness and substance abuse, into services. The Long Beach City Prosecutor's office was recently selected for an Innovative Prosecution Solutions grant from the U.S. Department of Justice to support GUIDES. It is the largest grant ever received by the office.
