The City of Long Beach is a national leader in civic, social, and government innovation. This day-long event, sponsored by the City of Long Beach, was an opportunity for thought leaders, community members, and professional staff to recognize the outstanding efforts and cutting-edge innovation in the public sector.

There was also a series of other micro-events that happened throughout the month of October for Long Beach’s Innovation Week, which is part of InnovateLA, a celebration of the depth and breadth of innovation and entrepreneurship across LA County.

Ten Civic Innovation Awards were given to various City Departments and community based partners who have demonstrated their ability to implement innovative solutions to some of Long Beach’s pressing challenges.
