About Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP)

NFP is an evidence-based voluntary program that offers a free nurse mentor to provide:

  • Pregnancy education and support
  • Health promotion for optimum child development
  • Promote Infant and child injury prevention
  • Support skill building for self-sufficiency & confidence with motherhood

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Who qualifies? 

  • Long Beach Residents
  • Pregnant with your first child
  • No more than 28 weeks pregnant 
  • All services are provided at no cost
How long is the program?
  • From 28 weeks in the pregnancy up until the child is 2 years old
How to apply?
How to refer a client or patient?
  • Complete the Referral Form and email it to eileen.margolis@longbeach.gov or fax it to 562-570-4099
