Long Beach, CA – In preparation for the severe weather system expected to affect Long Beach and the surrounding areas on Sunday, Aug. 20, and Monday, Aug. 21, as a result of Hurricane Hilary, the City of Long Beach will modify its City-run testing and vaccination clinics at two locations.

The testing and vaccination clinic located at El Dorado Park West (Recreation Center, 2800 N. Studebaker Rd.) will temporarily close operations on Monday, Aug. 21. The testing and vaccination clinic at Martin Luther King Jr. Park (Central Facilities Center, 1133 Rhea St.) will extend services and operate as follows on Monday, Aug. 21:

  • COVID-19 testing: 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 2 to 5 p.m.
  • COVID-19 and mpox vaccine: 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 2 to 6 p.m.

While appointments are not required, people interested in scheduling an appointment for mpox or COVID-19 vaccination can do so online at https://myturn.ca.gov/ or by calling 562.570.4636.
