LIMITED SERVICE CHARITABLE FEEDING OPERATION

Assembly Bill 2178 Limited Service Charitable Feeding Operation (LSCFO) was signed by the Governor and became effective January 1, 2019. This bill provides local enforcement agencies flexibility when working with charitable organizations that wish to feed the needy, but do not have access to a full service, permitted commercial kitchen.

A Limited Service Charitable Feeding Operation means an operation for food service to a consumer solely for providing charity by a non-profit charitable organization. You may be required a registration, a full health permit, or no permit may be necessary depending on the type of food service provided.
