Health Hazardous Materials Emergency Response

This program responds to both unlawful and accidental release of chemicals into the environment in Long Beach. This may include waste oil, paint, solvents, automotive fluids, and pure chemicals. Staff is on-call 24/7 and may be reached through the 911 dispatch.

Environmental Records Request

The Hazardous Materials Program maintains records on facilities that handle and store hazardous waste and at sites where underground storage tanks have been removed. For access to these records submit a request in writing to:

Include the street address and reason for the request with return address information. Records request generally take 10 working days to process.
