Unauthorized Occupants

As part of our commitment to creating safe and secure living environments for all residents, it's important to address the issue of unauthorized occupants and the impact it can have on our community.

What are Unauthorized Occupants?
Unauthorized occupants are individuals who reside in a housing unit without the proper authorization from the Long Beach Housing Authority. This includes individuals who are not listed on the lease agreement or approved by the Housing Authority to live in the unit.

Consequences for Unauthorized Occupancy:
The Long Beach Housing Authority takes unauthorized occupancy seriously. Consequences for unauthorized occupants may include lease termination, legal action, and/or loss of assistance.

How to Address Concerns:
If you suspect unauthorized occupants in a housing unit, it's crucial to take immediate action by reporting your concerns. Follow the steps to report a potential case of unauthorized occupants using the Fraud Report Form provided here.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding unauthorized occupants or the Section 8 Voucher Program, please do not hesitate to reach out to our dedicated team at (562) 570-6985.
