In an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19, mandatory safety and sanitation protocols have been implemented for the City's Bike Share program. For additional information on these new measures, click here.
Long Beach Bike Share
Long Beach Bike Share is ideal for short distance trips providing riders the ability to pick up a bicycle at any self-serve bike share hub and return it to any hub or public bike rack located within the system's service area. The current program offers the public 768 bicycles and 84 hubs throughout the City - including North Long Beach as of November 2019. Each 8-gear bike has an adjustable seat, lights, bell, and is equipped with GPS. Riders can select from various pricing options including prepaid, pay-as-you-go, or monthly and annual memberships.
The City has committed to expanding the bike share network throughout the City, adding 500 new bicycles to the fleet and doubling the number of hubs in 2020.
