Sand & Bags for Upcoming Rain

Please be advised that Long Beach Fire Department stations (listed below) have the sand available ONLY through the rainy season. Long Beach Residents may request bags from their local fire stations at any time.
Sand will be available year round at the Public Works Yard locatoed at 1651 San Francisco Ave., 90806 Monday to Friday, from 8AM to 5PM. Residents are also adivised to bring their own shovel or tool when collecting sand.
Residents are required to provide identification to pick up a maximum of 10 bags. Residents are also adivised to bring their own shovel or tool when collecting sand at the locations below. It is illegal to pick up sand from the beaches.
Sand is available at the following fire stations SEASONALLY:

- Fire Station 13, 2475 Adriatic Ave., 90810
- Fire Station 14, 5200 Eliot St., 90803
