The City is committed to provide maximum opportunities for small businesses, disadvantaged communities, minority and women owned businesses, and Long Beach business enterprises to compete successfully in supplying our needs for products and services. We do this by placing a high priority on outreach, conducting business workshops, and contacting businesses through trade fairs and various local business associations.
LONG BEACH BUYS
Long Beach Buys is the City’s central hub for interested parties to view and explore contracting opportunities within the City. Registration is free. The new portal has been completely redesigned, incorporating the key values of transparency, equity, and efficiency. While making more procurement data accessible to the public, vendors can easily search for the status of opportunities, and a searchable vendor database allows City staff to efficiently source opportunities. These benefits support the City’s focus of providing equitable opportunity engagement and improving access for local, diverse, and disadvantaged businesses.“We are committed to providing quality services and impactful, results-driven policies and initiatives for City residents. Long Beach Buys will make our purchasing process better for everyone and will position the City for a more sustainable purchasing future with the utilization of more local businesses and organizations.”
