Strong Wind Advisory

Release Date: 2015-11-16

Long Beach Public Works has deployed crews across the city to remove fallen trees. Reports from residents further help the City better address these public safety hazards. To report a downed tree, please call my office at (562) 570-7777. For after hours, please contact Long Beach Police Department non-emergency number: (562) 435-6711.

Safety Advisory:
During periods of high winds, please drive, walk, bike, and move throughout the city with caution. When you spot a downed tree or damaged branch, please be cognizant of other potential hazards, including downed electrical wires. In these instances, please do not approach the area. Move to a safe place and call 9-1-1 to report.

Utilities:
For specific Southern California Edison (SCE) issues, please call (800) 611-1911 or visit the online outage center: bit.ly/SCEoutages.

Debris Cleanup:
As for the tree branches and palm fronds that have littered our streets and sidewalks, please gather them in a pile on the street adjacent to your front curb. The City will pickup this debris beginning tomorrow, lasting throughout the week as winds persist.

Be safe Long Beach!
