15th California Heights Home & Garden Tour

Join the California Heights Neighborhood Association (CHNA) for the Fifteenth California Heights Home and Garden Tour!

This years’ tour features several beautiful Spanish Colonial Revival style homes that dominate the Cal Heights landscape as well as a stately Colonial Revival home, which are far and few between in our neighborhood. The homes have both original architectural features as well as stylish and appropriate additions. In addition, we have two charming and recently re-landscaped gardens that are so inviting you may want to relax and hang out for awhile.

Guest speaker Carole Coates, author of Catalina Island Pottery and Tile 1927-1937, will speak on the topic of historic art tile and vintage California furnishings in two sessions, 10-11 am and 11:30 am-12:30 pm. Seating is limited.

The little red trolley will be back to pick up and drop off home tour guests near each of the homes and gardens. Make sure to stop by our refreshment location where you can purchase a home tour t-shirt, listen to music or a grab some coffee or sweets from Sweet Lucie’s Ice Cream truck, our own Sweet and Saucy Bakery, and Steelhead Coffee.

Each home tour guest will receive a coupon card good for discounts are various local businesses. The coupon card is good through 12/31/2015.

Schedule of Events:

9:30 am: Will call check-in and day of ticket sales located at Hughes Middle School at 3846 California Avenue.

10-11 and 11:30-12:30: Guest speaker Carole Coates will speak on the topic of historic art tile and vintage California furnishings in two sessions. Seating is limited.
11 am - 4 pm: Homes open for viewing.

Tickets are available for pre-purchase, $20 at www.calheights.org through October 16th, or mail checks postmarked no later than October 12th to CHNA, 3553 Atlantic Avenue, Unit 350, Long Beach, CA, 90807.

Tickets $25 day of the tour. No paper tickets will be issued.

In the event of rain, ticket becomes a donation.
