Vice Mayor Roberto Uranga represents the City of Long Beach's Seventh District.

He is a former member of the Board of Trustees of the Long Beach Community College District. He was first elected to serve on the Board in April 2000 and represented Area 2 residents.

Vice Mayor Uranga has an extensive record of community service in Long Beach and nationally. He served as Chair of the American Community College Trustees, a nationally recognized advocate for community college education, becoming the first Latino to lead that group during his recently concluding chairmanship.

Vice Mayor Uranga attended California State University, Long Beach, where he worked in retention programs for seven years before beginning his 28-year career with the City of Long Beach where he is recently retired.

The Seventh District includes the communities of Arlington, West Long Beach's Upper and Lower  Westside, Westside Industrial Area, Windward Village, and Wrigley Heights, and North and South Wrigley, and includes the Port of Long Beach.
