Celebrate Earth Day with a Community Cleanup

Earth Day is celebrated internationally every April, and inspires many opportunities for communities to come together in appreciation and care for the planet. 

On Friday, April 24, 2026, from 8am - 12pm, Caltrans District 7 and the Office of Councilwoman Megan Kerr invite you to join us for an Earth Day Cleanup of the 405 Freeway on- and off-ramps at Atlantic Ave. Meet in the parking lot between Target and Chik-Fil-A off of E 33rd St. & Atlantic Ave. 

At the start of the event, Caltrans will provide a brief safety training, as well as safety hats, vests, tools, and supplies. Participants must be aged 18+, will need to sign a consent form, and are asked to dress in long pants, long-sleeved shirts, and closed-toe rubber-soled shoes or boots.
