Current registration as a Mechanical Engineer in the State of California (proof required)*
Current registration as a Mechanical Engineer in another state (proof required)* and the ability to obtain registration with the State of California as a Mechanical Engineer prior to completion of probation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
A valid driver’s license must be submitted to the hiring department at the time of the selection.
*Proof of required documents, such as degree or transcripts, must be uploaded to the online application at the time of filing. Any proofs submitted must contain either the applicant's name or other identifying characteristic on the form. Degrees must indicate the field of study and transcripts must indicate field of study and degree conferred date. Candidates who possess degrees from colleges or universities from outside the United States must attach proof of educational equivalence at the time of filing.
NACE Cathodic Protection Technician Certification. Experience with various computer applications, such as: Auto Cad, or other engineering applications, including, gas/hydraulic modeling, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) programs. Experience in corrosion control systems, natural gas engineering and distribution operations, and Federal pipeline safety regulations; supervisory and/or project management experience are desired for some positions.
