HOME Community Roadshows
The HOME (Housing & Homelessness Opportunities, Mobilization, and Engagement) Roadshow is a quarterly event series hosted by the City Manager’s Office of Homeless Strategy and Partnerships to engage the Long Beach community in open and honest conversations about homelessness, housing, and the City’s ongoing efforts to address these critical challenges. Held in neighborhoods across the city, each event is designed as an open-house experience where residents can drop in at any time, explore informational stations, and speak directly with City staff and community partners.
This City-led initiative goes beyond raising awareness. It focuses on building understanding, encouraging dialogue, and working collaboratively with the community to identify shared solutions to homelessness and housing instability in Long Beach.
The HOME Roadshow aims to:
- Educate the community about the causes of homelessness and the City’s coordinated response.
- Connect attendees to services, resources, and the people doing the work every day.
- Engage diverse voices in shaping local housing and homelessness strategies.
- Empower residents with accurate information and opportunities to support the City’s efforts.

Dec 2025 Roadshow
The Office of Homeless Strategy and Partnerships invites the community to the next HOME Community Roadshow on Thursday, December 11, 2025. This interactive event will highlight the City’s homelessness response system through our posterboard stations, share updates on major projects underway, and provide information on how residents can get involved in the upcoming 2026 Homeless Count. Staff will be onsite to answer questions about how outreach, shelter, services, and housing programs work together in Long Beach, and to help recruit volunteers for both street and shelter Count activities. Participants are also encouraged to stop by our hands-on hygiene kit assembly stations. These kits will be distributed during the Homeless Count to support neighbors experiencing homelessness.
