Robert Gill, Commissioner

First Term:  July 2025 - June 2029

Commissioner Gill has been actively engaged in a variety of public service roles in Long Beach. From 2014 to 2019, he served on the board of the Long Beach Management Association (President in 2017 and 2019), which represents the 300+ City of Long Beach management employees. He was also a member of the Long Beach Police Department Community Advisory Committee from 2022 to 2025.

Mr. Gill worked in information technology, cybersecurity and corporate accounting, leading corporate compliance and ethics. He’s a former leader of cybersecurity at the Port of Long Beach.

As a longtime neighborhood leader, Mr. Gill has moderated political debates for many Long Beach elected offices while serving on the board of the Los Cerritos Neighborhood Association.

Mr. Gill has an Accounting degree and MBA in Business Management. He also holds an advanced Cybersecurity Certification, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
